JED™ - A HANDS FREE, JAW ELEVATION DEVICE TO MAINTAIN AN OPEN AIRWAY
Hypnoz Therapeutic Devices' inaugaural product - the Jaw Elevation Device (JED™) - is an externally applied, non-invasive, airway device that maintains the airway anytime it is compromised. JED™ is a convenient airway adjunct that can be used to prevent and relieve upper airway obstruction in a sedated patient. The device can be used in multiple settings and maintains the airway quickly and easily.
Hypnoz is collaborating with UCSD University Hospital to conduct a pilot efficacy study for JED™. The study is designed to measure the efficacy of the device in preventing and relieving airway obstruction during sedation. The pilot study may spawn future studies with the use of JED.
JED™ has significant applications in operating rooms, recovery rooms, private practice, oral surgery, MRI, emergency medical technicians, use during CPR, or anywhere the airway is compromised.
